With a quick series of stinging punctures to the back of the legs and a final to the chest you fall.
Gasping for air as blood slowly begins to fill your lungs you reach for your fallen helmet.
Your up for a few seconds before a final bullet rips through your side sending you to your knees.
In front of you the star spangled banner can be seen heading into the sunset.
You realize that here on your knees now this is the last time you will ever see the waving banner in all its glory.
A small smirk passes your now blue lips.
As the blood begins to trickle from your mouth, you know that you have made the ultimate sacrifice for your country.
You are a soldier,a hero and freer of the oppressed.
Falling to the ground you work up enough energy to remove your left glove from your hand and replace your wedding band that was nestled in your inner pocket next to your heart.
In the final moments you do not pray for yourself, or for revenge on your killers.
You pray for the safety of your family, the protection of your friends and comrades, and for God's forgiveness of those who have struck you down.
You fade away...

To hell with this world we live in, fuck society and those who control it.
Who are they to make our love a crime?
Damn them for taking my innocence, taking my angel away from me.
I thought you were different, thought I was strong enough to protect you.
I placed you on a pillar so high it could have touched the sky, so that nothing could ever corrupt your beauty.
We had it all.
We had love.
Like everything I touch you changed, tainted by my presence.
Crumbling; the pillar came crashing down leaving me barley surviving underneath.
You failed me.
No.
I failed.

He knew it was love when they picked daisies together before she flew away.

Freezing outside laying next to a puddle of his own puke Jack thinks of what could of been, should of been, and where to go now.
Alcohol; his escape and his poison, the light from the stars fade.
Eyes shut; Jack forgets all the regrets that have pushed him to the breaking point.
Mind slipping into darkness his last thoughts are of her as he fades to black.
Eyes open; water beating down over him.
Friends carry Jack in.
Memories jolt through him, the temporary relief he'd sought had came to an end.
Hate fills his body, he thrashes out.
A few bloody knuckles and bruises later Jack breaks free.
His body and soul torn he stumbles away, trembling.
How can he find her, how can he make things right?
Can it even be done?
He was taught to never give up, never admit defeat, but he has lost so much.
From holding the world in his hands one day, safe, secure, loved, to having blood pour down his soaked drunken broken shell of a body the next.
Jack knows what he has to do, its the strength to do it where he is lacking.

I'm the inspiration for the inspirers, inspiring the youth of tomorrow.

The ice breaks exposing a weakness in him, the wall once secure has now crumbled under a vision of a future with her.
A killer angel, he knows the risk; a dagger in one of her hands, his heart in the other.
Taking no heed he dives into her, giving himself to her.
Gone are the worries of unfaithfulness, of the memories of past loves gone wrong; he lives for now.
They fuse, no longer separate entities but one soul encompassing two different bodies.

....

Always looking from afar she's afraid, hesitant to call out.
Confrontation; feelings let fly, the feelings between them both become known.
A new world is offered from the one she has known, a life with risks, excitement, a life as his lover.
Taking his hand, her heart is now his.
Breaking free from expectations of others they become one, unstoppable.
All that matters to her is him.

I did it and you'll pay for it.

Before I was naive, nonsensical, irrational to think that what was felt was sacred.
Lasting forever, the storm slowly eradicated all sympathies, pleasantries, and connecting strands that bound our souls.
Anchored at the bottom of my heart was the hope that salvation still had a fighting chance.
Interestingly I was granted with what appeared to be a second chance, covered by a veil of deceit and lust.
Revenge grasped a hold of my mind, playing with my thoughts; I hurt others, I hurt myself.
Ending my torture a wingless angel appeared to collect the scraps, save me from my path, and start to heal the scars I carried for too long.

I know this girl as pretty as can be. The sign of an Aquarius, she was born on the 18th.
UFOs, snakes, and spiders give her the creeps.
She's got a half-life, a half-smile, and lives in semi-luxury.
Questions God, drugs, bullets, and a high school beauty queen.
She's couragious but scared to death, but thats what courage means.
She is looking for some courage, she feels faithless, she feels earthless, she wants to run.
She's struggling for purpose, I tell her hang in it's worth it, you've just begun.
You've just begun.
Her bedroom is her temple, her books and stereo her muse.
She feels humbled by this equation and sets fire to all her shoes, not because they have no value, shes just not leaving anytime soon.
As the smoke pours out her window an image forms behind the moon, and it looks like the face of Jesus, but if it's Jesus she needs proof.
At the heart of the matter, the matter of fact, the science of matter.
She hopes that its true.

...............
